Fwd: Upcoming Events at Ste. Anne

March 20, 2014
Happy Spring!!!

We have a lot of exciting things happening over the next few weeks.

Tomorrow students can wear wild and colourful socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.

Next week there are several activities planned in conjunction with March being Best Buddies Month:

March 25, 26, 28:  Hoop It Up competition in the atrium, during lunches.  This is a basketball free throw contest in the atrium with proceeds going to Best Buddies

Fri. March 2 : ORANGE AND YELLOW SHIRT DAY: (uniform pants) in support of Best Buddies.  Students who have "Best Buddies" shirts are encouraged to wear these shirts on this day.

March 25 and 27:  FRIENDSHIP CANDYGRAMS will be for sale on lunches.  These will be delivered on Friday March 28

April is Autism Awareness Month.  In 2010, April 2nd was sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day by the United Nations.  On this day, throughout the world, many iconic landmarks "light it up" blue.  Here at Ste. Anne, we too will be lighting it up blue, decorating our atrium in blue for the month in support of our students who have autism.
April 2nd:  Dress it Up Blue Students can wear blue shirts (with uniform bottoms) and accents of blue to show support.  I received information about shirts for Autism Awareness day (only yesterday).  Shirts can be purchased (through me) and worn on April 2.  I have included an order form if you are interested.  Unfortunately, I need to submit orders by THIS FRIDAY MARCH 21, therefore please contact me asap if you would like a shirt.

Thanks for supporting all of these special events which celebrate the diversity of the students in our school.
